Urgent Symposium "Social Application of Building and Urban Information Data and its Conditions -BEYOND BIM" will be held!

BIM data, which is considered the core of digital transformation in the building industry, has the potential to play a far greater role after the completion of a building than the improvement and advancement of design and construction work when used in conjunction with real-time data on the environment, energy, and human flow. However, the legal and economic framework for the utilization and sharing of such building and urban information as a social institution is still immature, and discussion beyond the conventional framework of the building industry is necessary. We hope that the cross-disciplinary experts assembled by the Japan Institute of Building Information will discuss the social utilization of architectural and urban information data and the conditions for such utilization.
