Challenge 2023 Overview

Applications are invited for one installation work to be exhibited at the entrance to the Building Information Society WEEK 2024 to be held on March 2-3, 2024 at KAJIMA HALL, Lecture Room 15, Bldg. 1, Faculty of Engineering, The University of Tokyo.

The installation will represent what is involved in architectural informatics and will be experienced by visitors to the venue to impress them with WEEK.

installation format

The installation may be a physical installation, virtual installation, or any other form, as long as it can be placed in one of the potential site locations listed below and be experienced by visitors.

Conditions of Participation

Individuals or groups of individuals who are members of the AIJ at the time of application, regardless of whether they are student members, general members, etc. If applying as a group, at least one representative must be a member of the AIJ. Applicants must be able to create the installation and install and remove it from the venue.

Submission Materials

Applicants are required to submit their application information and submissions using the Google Form at the URL in the details page below prior to the deadline. The e-mail address provided in the application information does not have to be the e-mail address of the Google account, but should be an e-mail address that can be used to contact the applicant reliably.

- September 28: Open call for applications
- November 19, 23:59: Deadline for public applications
- December 7: Announcement of competition results
- December 7 - February 29: Installation design, production and transportation
- March 1: Installation
- March 2-3: Installation exhibition
- March 4: Installation removal
